Failed marketing is not choosing the wrong medium,
but implementing a poor, unclear message.

A great story communicates your message to the world. So your message must be well crafted. It needs to evoke emotion and interest.

Great design makes the message sparkle and stand out. A great story means nothing if it is not delivered so that it can be understood. Stunning design with a crap message is a Hollywood action film...leaves you wondering why you spent your money.

Is the design of your marketing materials working with your message or against it?
it's ripe

Details matter.

Imagine shopping for strawberries. Think how sweet they are. You are in a store that claims to sell only organic, fresh fruit. You find the strawberries. Except. They are not ripe. They are old. Wilted leaves, soggy, dark, old. These strawberries wouldn't even make good jam.

How do you feel about those strawberries? Would you buy anything at this store today? Tomorrow? What message did you receive that the owner didn't want to send?

No doubt the owner probably did not intend to display rotting fruit. But someone, somewhere, wasn't paying attention. Or didn't care. And there they are. They will cost the store business.

Look at your marketing materials. Are they the best they can be? Were they designed by someone who knows how to tell your story effectively and compellingly? Can you tell the difference?

Is your collateral farm fresh?

Expectations are everything.
